Hi everyone! I just came across a sentence on my textbook that goes, “There are solutions that could light a path towards more sustainable and fair farm economy, but farmers can’t awkwardly put them together before us.” I’m not sure about the latter part “but farmers can’t awkwardly put them together before us”. Or the sentence itself is grammatically incorrect? Could anyone please explain?

I am also confused by that phrase. It's not grammatically incorrect, but it doesn't make logical sense. i.e. I can't figure out what the writer is trying to say.
