They mean the same but they feel different. It is a very slight difference that would not normally be noticed. The first sounds more like a simple statement of a fact. The second feels more like the painting of an image, more friendly, more conversational.
Both use active voice.

Both sentences actual meaning is the same. What is difference is that one sentences uses “active voice” and the other uses “passive voice” -
