Hi everyone
I have a question.
Someone told me, “There’s a reason I’m glad I learned English as my first language. This would suck.”
I think they were joking, but I’m not sure what “this would suck” really means.
Does it mean something like “so bad”?
Thanks in advance 🙂

Something like: trying to learn all this English. (Grammar) would be awful and difficult to do.

Yes, they were being humorous. "This would suck" means "having to learn English (as a second language) would be a nuisance/hard work/a pain in the neck/something bothersome"
