I have small family. I live with my mom and three dogs. I have an older sister
but she’s married. My grandparents live in another state, so unfortunately I don’t see them
often. My parents are divorced and I don’t know much about my father’s whereabouts these days.
*they live (in another state)
*so (nice linking word instead of using ‘and’ all the time: also because you are saying that the reason why you don’t see them is because they live far away, so you can use ‘so’ or ‘therefore’ as nice linking words in this type of situation).
*whereabouts: the place where someone/ something is located
