"and don't she?" When is it not only acceptable, but essential, to bend the rules of grammar?
Then just imagine her as she is, and a huge string of gold beads encircling her neck, and don't she present a lively picture; and then she is so bustling, she is always whizzing about, and whenever I come in contact with her I really think I am in a hornet's nest.

There is nothing 'essential' about bending the rules of grammar. When you write the ''patois" of a particular group of people, then of course you may use these different grammatical styles, as per these dialects.
And poetry also allows you to bend the rules of grammar.
