Questions: Does it makes sense?? Is there a way to change or make "never worked for her" sound formal? I'm confused about this last one. Thank you!!:) ------------------------------------------------ (This is the middle part of my short paragraph) Every human tells lies sometimes (Why do you think this is true?) It is not typical of the writer herself to lie. She reveals that feelings such as guilt and fear are evoked when she feels tempted to do so, not to mention high blood pressure and increased heart rate. In addition, in her childhood, flawless lies never worked for her, it seemed impossible to people not to detect whether she tried to hide anything.

instead of "flawless lies never worked for her" you can say, "She never got away with lying, (no matter how flawless the lie). Here is another correction: It seemed impossible to people not to detect whther she tried to hide anything -- this does not make sense. People could always tell when she was trying to hide something.
