What is your meaning of work?
Some Japanese people work too hard even if they got illness.When I get to overseas, I had curiousity about it.
As a side note, I work for increasing what I can do to my precious people.

Work for me is simply the means I use to reach my goals in my personal life. I think it's absurd to work hard for the sake of working hard. Therefore, work is simply to do what is asked of you, but in service of your personal ambitions.

Grammatically, all you need to change is "if they have an illness" and "when I go overseas".
But to make it a bit more idiomatic, I would say it like this.
What is the meaning of work for you?
Some Japanese people work too hard even if they are sick. When I go overseas, I am curious about this.
As an aside, I work to improve the life of my fellow citizens.
