Well, me and my wife celebrated it alone for the first time, just her and me. We were in the house. We cooked delicious foods and grab a bottle of wine and turn the music player on. It was really peaceful. Also, there were quite many entertainment on TV, occasionaly, we watched them. Wishing to new celebrate would be together with our families and/or our best friends.

The teacher made a mistake. "my wife and I" is correct. Do not wrote me and my wife because it is impolite to put yourself first. But don't use the word " "me" in either order because in this situation "I" would be used. If you can say "I celebrated it alone for the fist time" then you can say "my wife and I celebrated it the first time". However, you would never write "me celebrated it for the fist time"... I hope you understand.
