In Japan, friends who always go for a drink are called “Nomi-Tomo”.

We might say someone is a “drinking buddy” - someone who is always down to have a beer or that you usually hang out with when drinking.

Hi there Yoichi!
I am a native speaker and in Johannesburg, I think we just call them friends.
But " drinking buddies" is also a cute informal of saying it.😁
