Are you flying TO Rome or FROM Rome? I will buy a ticket / a flight to/from Rome for the 30th of May / May 30th.

"for" is correct and "to Rome" would be more natural. Hope this helps :)

If you mean the flight is on the 30th of May, then yes, "for" is the correct preposition.
