“Run at thunder, girl! Thunder can’t hurt! Harmless noise, Bullsh*t!” – from The Godfather Part III (dir. Francis Coppola, 1990)
What does "run at thunder" mean ? Thanks!
It is not supposed to make total sense, and to reflect Michael’s slipping grasp on reality. It is intentionally evocative of King Lear, when the mad king, destitute and forlorn due to his political machinations, rages at the heavens themselves.
