Could you please check this sentence for me? Is it correct? I wrote it down from a video.
"Experts say they could go extinct soon as only 2 percent of the species 20th century population remains."

The only thing missing is an apostrophe at the end of “species”.
So it should be: species’

Are you sure that's all the video had say?
My understanding from that sentence is (species named "experts" could extinct, and only 2 percent of 20th century population of "experts" species would remain)
Sorry I can't think of any other meaning from that sentence...
