What does it mean when you describe somebody as "foul"?
I came across this sentence in a fiction novel and I was not sure what the word foul means in this particular sentence.
We actually had befriended Bart, the village idiot. He was "foul" and drooled a lot, but he was large and offered some protection against bullies.

Hello,
The word foul can be used to either describe someone's appearance, as being offensive to the senses, especially through having a disgusting smell or taste or being dirty or his personality - wicked or immoral.
I hope this helps!
