Anyone here who is familair with both IELTS and GRE?
I took the IELTS test twice before, now I am trying for GRE, I want to know how can we compare the scores of both tests.
Like I got 7.0 in writing in IELTS, so could I expect 4.0 in GRE writing task?
I know there are a lot different and all, I just need a rough idea.
I would really like to hear from those who have taken both tests.
Moreover, any teacher here who is helping with GRE prep?
Just updating in case someone else is looking for same info.
IELTS 7.0 you can expect 3.5 in GRE Writing task. This is based on my own experience.
Another friend of mine also had a 3.5 in GRE. So my conclusion is if you have a degree in engineering and IELTS score of around 7.0, you can safely expect 3.5 ( with some preparation ).
Now what i don't know is how much more work you will need to get to 4.0,that is demanded by most institutions.
