Is it illegal to feed pigeons in Venice?

Can anyone confirm whether it's still illegal to feed pigeons in Venice? Thanks a lot!

Yep, illegal and fairly gross and they will land on your head and poop on you if you try it.  But I've never seen anyone arrested if it's really a dream of yours.   ;-)
