Today, italki member Leyla started a unique, smart discussion by having italki members respond to her question by recording their oral answers.
Listen to them and you will hear several italki members, from several countries, speaking English.

I also thought it was a fantastic idea! I hope this becomes a regular thing on Italki, and not just in "discussions" either. I did an audio notebook entry once and got some very useful feedback on my pronunciation. There's no reason why the Italki boards should be for writing practice only!
So learners, go to www.vocaroo.com or www.clyp.it, record yourself saying something (or reading aloud, if you prefer), then post the link in your next notebook post!
Hi, friends. I am glad that you liked my discussion. To tell truth before me other italki user opened discussion like it. He was TOC TOC TOC. ( it is his profile name.) Now he doesnot log on. I hope everything is OK with him.
And about notebook entries with voice. I tried it some times. I wrote some notebook entries with my voice, but nobody noticed it. Probably it was not interesting for them. In future I will try again :)
It is true that Leyla has had a great idea! I have listenned to most of the audios and it is great to listen to different accents. I had never thought about sending an audio notebook either, so I think Alan's idea is great. The only thing is that there are so many people learning English that if there are many audio notebooks most of them are not going to receive any feedback but I must admit that I like the idea.
Yeah I think using Skype is very important and useful, i'm already in a great group for talking English, the members are kind and so friendly we basically speak everyday and that's make me very happy.

You are right. Skype is very good for speaking, but in order to speak on Skype we need much time, good partner :)
