I would like to know if the points we gain on italki can be used to pay a lesson. If not, how can they be useful? It could be a good idea, couldn't it? For example 100 points could correspond to 1 ITC...
Is it only a way to say : "youpi ! I have a lot of points" as it is the case on instagram "youpi ! I have a lot of followers"... I am kidding in telling that even if it doesn't seem too exagerate.
If really they could be used to pay a lesson i would like to give my points to a friend. So would it be possible ?

I think points in italki are like friends in facebook, so don't expect to get anything from them! I must admit that not getting anything in return makes sense because it would be very expensive for italki if they had to redeem them for classes or whatever it was.
I would eliminate them because I like the way the website has been working so far. You help others because you want to do it, not expecting to be given anything in return. I am afraid that many people would start writting posts and correcting / answering just to get more points. So, let's leave it the way it is, if we could get rid of these points it would be better, though.
I have 264230 points. Wouldn't it be nice if it was somehow turned into cash?
