Learning Russian suggestion I want to travel to Russia at the end of this winter, and I want to learn some basics about this language. What do you suggest me to use for a fast learning? Just as all the things in this language are different, I want to become able to communicate with people who don't know English. Any website or anything you think will work out well. Thanks in advance

My suggestion ONLY for your situation (a small time left to visit Russia): not focusing on speaking ability. Focus only on comprehension basic words that can be helpful while you are using public transport, eating or sightseeing.

Right decision, we all learned English in schools here but very few people can speak it) Not much time left but anyway I wish you success. Btw in Moscow and Saint Petersburg there is plenty of Tajiks, they can understand your Farsi, almost everything if you dont talk fast.

I would recommend the Pimsleur audiolessons for beginners, they are good for pronounciation, but they don't explain grammar.
