My language learning goal for this year is to learn 52 new languages from scratch, one every week for the next 52 weeks. This challenge is based on Benny Lewis' "Speak in a Week" program that you can find on his website.
In order to accomplish this, I would like to hear from all of you about your favorite accelerated learning techniques.
And if you are a language teacher, send me a message, I'll be happy to network and take a trial lesson with you!
Gracias, merci, danke, teşekkür, tack, thanks, grazie, спасибо!
I can not even imagine learning a language in one week. I'd have a greater chance of getting to the top of Mt Everest with my 2 arthritic knees !!!
How did your challenge turn out? Did you succeed?
Jonathan, your aims are very ambitious.
But don't forget to dedicate not less than one week to melodious Ukrainian language:)
I should clarify that learning an entire language in just a week is not my goal, rather I plan to initiate my studies and see how far I can get in one week by learning the basics and speaking to native speakers. Then I'll start a new language the following week, all the while continuing to improve upon the previous ones little by little.
I like the mental image of climbing Mt Everest. Difficult as it may be it all begins by taking the first step.
