Hi! I'm wondering whether there are masters of the topic who could share experience and help master it.
Of course the underlying base of Englsih grammar should also be in focus...
By the way, is there a reason why "GMAT Verbal" is not one of the tags in "Test preparation"?
Hi <a ui-sref="user({id:comment.commenter_obj.id})" href="https://www.italki.com/user/1618485" style="line-height: 1.5; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Ruthi</a>, technically, GMAT is not a test of English at all and this is exactly why it is so special.
Questions in GMAT verbal section are unique and require not only good knowledge of the English grammar, but also skill to analyze the structure of the argument and relation of its parts to each other.
When it comes to Sentense correction, I agree that it is very similar to other tests in form, but the substance and scope are still different.
Therefore I think separate tag would be helpful for those who are interested.
Hi Artem, I teach preparation to all kinds of exams, such as IELTS, TOEFL and CAE. I don't really think there is a big difference between this and any other test, you just need to be able to write, read, speak and understand spoken English correctly. The GMAT is just another formal test of English and you would prepare it in exactly the same as any other exam, just by making sure you know what is on the test paper and practising your answers.
Therefore it isn't necessary to have a separate category for it here on italki.
