Does your country have a river or a sea or an ocean, is it an island? If it has both, still water ( like in rivers) and moving water ( like in seas and oceans where there are waves ) which do you like more?

My country has coasts on four seas: Mediterranen Sea, Egean Sea, Black Sea and Marmara Sea. It is like a peninsula. And It has a lot of rivers and streams. Because of its mountainous terrain, most of the rivers aren't still. On the contrary they are fast-flowing. When I read that phrase "still waters- like in rivers" in your question, I guessed you wrote it wrong. Then I remembered, there are still rivers that I haven't seen before :)))))) If you say still waters, we understand lake in my country. And yes we have also lakes and dams. :))) I prefer streams which is flowing down a mountain slowly and with a soft sound.

Italy has lakes, rivers that in past were much more used than now and the same your sea. I like both lakes and sea. I would like to see Siberian rivers as Ob, Lena, etc.

It has rivers and only a bit of sea. I like rivers more, in this case.

The United States is very large in land area. Only China, Canada, and Russia are bigger. It has some of almost everything.

The east coast is on the Atlantic ocean. The west coast is on the Pacific ocean.

The United States is not an island. However, one of the fifty states, the State of Hawaii is a group of islands in the middle of the Pacific, almost 4,000 kilometers from the continental US.

The Great Lakes contain 1/5th of all the freshwater on earth.

The Mississippi River is one of the greatest rivers in the world. Mark Twain said it was the longest, but the Nile is probably longer. He said it had the largest drainage basin, but the Amazon's is probably larger. He said "It seems safe to say that it is also the crookedest river in the world, since in one part of its journey it uses up one thousand three hundred miles to cover the same ground that the crow would fly over in six hundred and seventy-five." I haven't seen anything that contradicts that!.

Thanks Elisa and Thanks Sule, actually Sule I am not sure if still water water is a right description for rivers because rivers are moving after all, but still is how it looks to me, and that what makes it beautiful at night as it reflects the moon and city lights. I am sure Italy and Turkey are both beautiful countries and popular destinations for tourists.
