Seiyū (Seiyuu, 声優) Training Anyone?
Hi! I'm a native English speaker who is learning Japanese in hopes of becoming a bilingual voice actor (EN/JP). Is anyone else training to be a Japanese voice actor? If so, please leave a comment so we can talk! You can be a native of any language, including Japanese~ <3

That's cool. Though, if you wish to be professionally cast, any seiyuu will tell you that you should imitate actual Japanese people like in dramas and movies. Anime pitches are based off archetypes, which are good to have, but the best voice and the one that many agencies and producers look for is a natural voice.

I'm practicing this using a method of imitating anime characters I like or am able to reach their pitches, I recommend it.
