Courtesy begets courtesy

Manners represent the advancement of culture, education and social intercourse of a nation.  As good wine needs no bush, same as good or bad manners can be recognized immediately. Because manners represent our personality, family background and nation to which we belong. A courteous person is affable and polite being. He is a gentleman in his character and his thoughts. And a well mannered being gets respect and honor in a society. On the contrary, a person having bad manners can never get a respectable and honorable position in the society.  Because things boomerang and return to us, its universal fact. Good behavior costs nothings but it generates goodwill, congenial environment, friendly atmosphere and politeness. Boorish behavior and manners creates vicious circle.

Question can be raised here that how do we acquire manners? Mostly, we imbibe manners from our elders or society. And we learn those manners effortlessly as we follow and examine them to be followed by our elders.  But it is an art which can be learned too and can help us to enhance our personalities. Previously, princes and princess used to get their class from courteous peoples to become well-mannered role models. However, one who have dual personality like one who pretends as a well mannered being among people and doesn’t deeply except good manners, is a kind of whimsical one who becomes laughing stalk for the people.

As you sow so shall you reap, and there is no return. One who demands respect and honor has to learn how to give honor and respect to others. In the similar way, one who treats others badly has to be ready for harsh and cruel response from the society. Then now, choice is all ours what to choose and what to receive.
