I'm not sure about your genre preference, but if you like The Alchemist then I guess that you're much into history, fiction and adventure. Therefore I recommend you to read Dan Brown's books. Even though that correlates history and present day, but it still has the taste of history and fiction. I like mystery plot twist, that's why I think his writing are classy.
