I've been using Memrise for 2 years and what I think is that, it's a great tool when you already have certain knowledge of the language you're learning. And the reason for that is that Memrise can help you just with memorizing words and phrases, it will not help you with grammar, or writing rules, exceptions, and most of the things implicated in learning a language.
For example I've been using it for German, but before that I used to attend to a german institute, there I focused to learn grammar rules, declension, exceptions, etc... and just after that, I started using Memrise to acquire new vocabulary.
A really good thing about Memrise is that you can use it to learn whole phrases, and there are two things you'll find very useful from this:
1)You'll be able to memorize the structure of sentences: when you start learning a language, a common thing in students is that you won't be very sure of how to put words together to form a sentence. So, if you memorize some phrases, and therefore their structure, at a certain point you'll end up making you're own sentences without thinking too much about it.
2) It won't be helpful to memorize a bunch of words that you have no idea of how to use them, or in wich context to use them. So learning phrases with the words you just learned can be really useful, and for that you could make your own courses in memrise for personal use, with the examples you'd like to memorize.
To conclude, I'd say that Memrise can be really helpful to achieve fast progress in a language, but only when you have a rough idea of the language itself, and just as a complement of other learning methodes.

Niels didn't ask about memories but Memrise: https://www.memrise.com. It's a program for learning vocabulary.
@Niels
Peachy is right. Memrise is good as an additional tool, but using the language is more important.
I think that memories are very important to us. When we feel down, those good memories can let us feel good and we might find the courage in the old times. I like to spend sometime to recall those old days, no matter happy or sad, those memories always make me feel alive. And how I got here today.
