Is there a good method to learn french?

There is no perfect method, some are better then others.

I like the Pimsler method at the beginning for any new language. It's completely audio, you can download it on your smartphone and practice while commuting or running on the beach. You get the feeling of the language and learn to pronounce correctly. 

But it is a bit expensive and the amount of vocabulary  you learn is not very large. You can try a free lesson on the site of the Publishing house Simon and Shuster or Pimsleur Digital. I started Arabic with this method.

There is also Assimil for French, 90 lessons with CD. I have used it for Spanish and for Arabic and I was quite happy with it.
