Italian pronunciation of Z
The letter Z in Italian can be unvoiced /ts/ or voiced /dz/. Is this a regional variation? Or it depends on the word? Are there differences between the pronunciation of simple and double Z?

Dependig of the word:
the rules are:
-when words start with z and vocal, like "zebra" the sound is sweet like dz.
-when z is double like "altezza" the sound is hard like tz
- when z is followed by 2 vocals like "zio" zia" sound is hard, like tz, but someone use sweet z
