Forward and Toward
Could someone explain the use of the words "forward" and "toward" for me please?

I would explain it as; "Forward" IS the literal direction of movement in space/time. "Towards" is NOT the description of any particular direction in space/time, but it does describe a variation in position and only IMPLIES the direction (i.e "foward") but is NOT the actual direction itself.
