My favorite withdrawal method was the bank transfer until italki deleted it unfortunately!
It was the best and the fastest method, and even though we used to pay $20 for italki to
do it, but it was faster and cheaper than PayPal. After it was deleted, I had to use PayPal,
but this month PayPal invented a new thing to make our life harder! They wanted me to
provide them with: 1. Proof of address, and 2. proof of identity.
The second one was easy, but the first I couldn't really provide them with! We don't have
this kind of proof in my country, and they don't accept a proof of my mail address! In some
countries those 2 addresses are the same, but in my country they are different, and I have
no legal proof to show them about my home address. So now I must look for another way
to use, not just on italki because I work as a freelancer on different websites.
One of my friends used Skrill and told me it was easy, have you checked if it's available in
your country?
You are welcome, Giuliano. Also I want to encourage you to check Payoneer because they seem to
charge way less than PayPal. But first thing you need to check their website and look at the country
list where they can transfer from Payoneer to your bank account. If you found Italy between them,
then you are lucky. I didn't discover that my country wasn't in their list until after I made my account.
It takes them around 3 weeks to send their card to your mail address, which you need to link your
italki account to your Payoneer account. Good luck.
I prefer a cold turkey :-)
Oh, yes sorry - I'm not a teacher. I got a bit too excited.
