Short BBC video about why Italians won't drink takeaway coffee

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-europe-42750584/why-italians-are-saying-no-to-takeaway-coffee

I've just watched this short BBC video which explains why Italians refuse to drink coffee while walking.  Would Italians and those who know Italy agree? In any event, it's quite an easy video with some useful vocabulary on the theme of Italy's coffee-drinking culture.

Are there any other countries in the world that resist the idea of takeaway coffee, like the Italians do?

Definitely an American thing.

I remember a comic talking about the long lines at Starbucks, and his need for a takeaway coffee.  Basically he would go to Dunkin Donuts first for coffee, so he would have the strength to stand in line at Starbucks for coffee.  :-)

Ah yes, it's the fault of the Americans again!  I knew it!

Wasn't it the USA that invented the idea of food and drink on the go?

A few decades ago, we Brits wouldn't consider having a cup of tea or a sandwich anywhere other than at a table. Meanwhile, at the same period, I'm sure that I remember images of New Yorkers striding along their sidewalks,  from subway to skyscraper, coffee and donut in hand.

Thanks for all the comments.  Perhaps I should have asked a different Q: are the British unique in drinking hot coffee while walking?  So far, it seems so.  Even our cultural cousins in Scandinavia seem to baulk at the idea.

I would personally never drink takeaway coffee and I would never walk while drinking coffee. To me coffee is something one drinks while sitting down and relaxing. In the past (when I was still a smoker) while smoking a cigarette, having a conversation with a friend or eating breakfast.

Coffee should also be drunk from a ceramic cup or mug. No plastic for me, thanks.

I don't know what other Danes do. I have never talked with anyone about it.
