Community TutorWhen you start to learn Chinese, and why?
I have been learning English by myself two years now. So I am curious about when you start to learn Chinese and why you decide to learn this language.

I have learned Mandarin by myself for five months and just started speaking lesson with an Italki teacher for one month. I kicked off a personal project called "Language and Travel" to build one of my hobbies and Mandarin is the first module in the project. Spanish will be the next that I was planning to start in this August. I can understand a little Korean which I learned 9 years ago but haven't practiced for a long time. I planned to review it soon after Spanish. It is really interesting.
How about you? What is your purpose to go with languges?
