Community TutorHow Useful the Flu Can Be
It became clear today that I
speak English much better when a have a flu. It was so astonishing! I
can explain this phenomenon in this way: I didn't have much reserves to
have any fears or to be scared by inevitable conversation. Most likely,
my anxiety was calmed down by the high temperature and a headache. Thus,
my real ability to talk was revealed. I think it cannot be used in a
normal situation, but to the one conclusion I came. After this
experience I have estimated a real tranquility which is so necessary to
feel before speaking. So, at least you can always attempt to calm down
ahead of time. You can just make an effort within yourself to hear those
fears and to concentrate on your real wish to practice a language.

Good for you!
If I could choose, I rather continue to speak at my pace and avoid having flu.
However, you could get another time flu, in a the same season, from another strain.
Take care!
