Scratching the back of your head_ are there any cultural or national gestures?

Perhaps, the body language is rather universal and perfectly described by Alan Pease at his similar book

; ( I was googling and found this link in a few seconds).

1) I wonder if you mentioned any cultural difference in regard of this issue?

For example, Bulgarian express that they don’t except something by nodding.

2) Do you think that your nation has some favourite gestures?

I mentioned that many Russians scratch their back of the head being puzzled;

or beat yourself in the chest when want to justify something.

Thank you

Once chatting on Skype, a friend made me notice a gesture I do unconcioulsy, but it´s true you´ll find it a lot among Catholic cultures. It´s the gesture of praying; putting the palms of the hands together and looking up to the sky, asking or begging for something jeje. Or just looking up and muttering something. You can see it a lot too among some football players when they miss a goal or something, like Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.

I sometimes touch the back of my head with my elbow. But I usually just like to slap myself silly.
