Of course! American culture surrounds me wherever and whenever I go. Americans have a particular state of mind and every particular state of mind produces a specific culture. I strongly recommand you to read Jules Verne. In his books, he often talks about Americans and about their culture. Needless to say that an American has nothing to do with a French or an English in his writings. Surprisingly (for a French writer), Jules Vernes is not critical. I agree with storyteller_kai, but I would also add that pop culture is often viewed as the american culture. I would also say that America has a culture and a history because at home I have a book about America and it is so heavy that I could use it as a deadly weapon.
