Ramadan is a month from the Islamic calender in which Muslims fast ( don't eat or drink ) from sunrise till sunset. (Differs from country to another)
The reason behind fasting is to make people feel what poor people suffer in a daily basis. Whether it was having sympathy towards people who can't have food, money or housing.
Also, it's sort of a spiritual month for Muslims where the are advised to give more money to the poor, not to use bad language, pray more. That's why if you have ever been to a Muslim majority country in Ramadan before you will see many ads on TV or the streets urging Muslims to generally help others in need and pray more.
That's about it, mostly :p

Hi, sorry my English isn't very good, I would just share this discussion with you.
Ramadan is blessing from Allah and the month witch the Quran was revealed, Muslims fast in this month and that make them strog, helthy and over all desires.
