Lukasz...Polish foods?   I think of pierogies served with kapusta.  And also kielbasa and golabki.   My husband's grandparents immigrated from Poland to the United States, and these are the Polish foods that we continue to cook at home.

For folks who are not familiar with these dishes...here are some explanations:

Pierogies (boiled dumplings.  My husband's family made two types: pierogies stuffed with mashed potatoes and cheese,  pierogies stuffed with sauerkraut and bacon.  Served with sour cream and sometimes with kapusta).

Kapusta (sauerkraut / pickled cabbage)

Kielbasa (Polish sausage)

Golabki (cabbage rolls stuffed with beef, onions, rice...cooked slowly in tomato sauce)

Yeah, Netflix is an endless source of remarkably good films. In a few years it will completely replace traditional TV broadcasters.

When it comes to Polish cuisine, there are lots of dishes that are hardly known in the World. For example polish pierogi (dumplings) or bigos which is made of cabbage, sausage, pork, ham, mushroom and plums. We are also proud of our cakes (especially karpatka with cream, apple pie, poppy-seed cake, and cheese cake). I must confess, that i hardly know Mexican cuisine, apart from most popular taco and buritto. However i love Mexican hot pepper. There is a nice e-shop here, where i can  buy goods from Mexico. A few times in a year i order supply of huge cans of jalapeno. They play a crucial role in my diet. 

I know that pizza comes from Naples, in fact, on netflix too is an another documentary film about it. It's really good,  it's called "Ugly Delicious".

And polish cuisine? cabbage, soups, sausages.
