We use italki to learn another language or flirt someone? I have known that italki is an app that helps people to learn another language with the teachers or partners but I figure out that somebody used it to flirt someone. They try to have my skype, my whatapps and they didnt use it for learning another language with me. It made me feel a huge of disappointed. I didnt hope that it would be like that. Can u just stop doing it and let us really learn language?

Some people have a common talent to feel offended or disappointed always and everywhere. If you live in middle ages you can tell your father or brother or husband and their duty is to call the villains for a duel. But if you live in the 21st century people of the Earth have a natural right to express their feelings, to say proposals, and they can easily refuse of any offers too. It's very easy. Just say "NO", such a simple English word of 2 letters: N and O. You can also block an unwanted companion by several clicks.

That's true. But you can do one thing that would help. Change your picture into an avatar or a drawing. Because looks is the reason that men try to hook up with girls. For instance, nobody flirts with me. Why? Because they can see I'm not a young pretty girl.

I strongly suggest you to find someone, who is female, to practice with your English. Do not practice English with men. Of course you will need to teach her your language in turn. I don't want to be racist or rude to men. But Most People from middle east countries and India and Africa are not really trying to learn the language here. Do not trust them, some of them would even ask you to send them money. Sophie Le you should take a look at his or her profile to see if they have been learning or asking questions about languages here before talking to them.

I get a lot of these messages. I always report the man as I think, the Italki team should keep this place "clean" of those. Sadly so far the men do not get banned - but that is likely because not enough of us push the matter. We should report EVERY SINGLE flirting man and flirty message. Only when the Italki team gets bombed with reports of annoyed women, they might take steps to prevent it.
