The right teacher for someone else might be the wrong teacher for you.

Teachers have uploaded their teaching diplomas to italki to prove that they are "trained" teachers.  Tutors have not uploaded a teaching diploma.  In most cases, tutors are nice people, who are not teachers, but who can help you.

Use "Find a Teacher." Select the price range that meets your budget.  Read the teacher profiles.  Look at the ratio of lessons to students (the higher the better ... a high ratio means that the students were happy and returned for more lessons).  Take a trial lesson if available.
