Best games to learn/teach a language?

Games are vital to learn a language as they are the perfect excuse to practice the content learned in a relaxed and fun way.

My top 3 would be:

1. Cadena de palabras. Memory exercise. You ask, for example, "what would you bring to a desert island?" Everybody has to repeat all the words that have been said.

2. ¿Qué he escrito aquí? Excellent game after a vocabulary class. The teacher walks to the oposite side of the blackboard and asks "what have I written in this paper?" No body is allowed to look at the blackboard. Simple and great.

3. Blancos y rojos. In a group of 5, the're 2 red and 3 white (can be decided by cards or any other method). After that, everybody closes their eyes; only the reds open their eyes and, again, everybody closes their eyes. The game starts, everybody has to discuss, argue and vote to expel a member. If a red gets to the final round, they win.

I hope this helped you and gave you some ideas.

Un saludo
