What is your favourite foreign English accent? In this discussion, foreign English accents are defined as accents out there other than those from native English speaking countries such as the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries that speak English as their first language including various regional accents within those countries. Important: Please don't take offense or take it personally when I refer to your way of speaking English as having an accent. Every accent in the world is unique and beautiful as the way it is.

I find French accent particularly attractive to me, and I can't resist it. I think it's mainly due to the fact that French is considered to be the most beautiful language to speak so accents of other languages derived from French become a unique representation of the French language itself.

Also, due to the fact that I'm from Hong Kong, I think probably it's a little bit more acceptable if I make fun of my own accent. I think when a native Cantonese speaker speaks English it can become quite obvious that he is nowhere close to a native English speaker. What do you think about Cantonese accent? And what is your favorite foreign English accent?

In a nutshell, I think it's more important to have a better pronunciation than trying to mimic accents of the Uk or wherever you find interesting. However, accents are sometimes just a good topic to talk about, ain't they?
