How to acquire a language sense?. I would like to know how to acquire a language sense, when you are adult. I have read many articles about language sense on some website. They say that it is almost impossible for us to acquire a language sense when we has passed our critical period for language acquisition. I find those articles quite truth. Use this English article as an example, I can't tell grammar errors in my article or which word I can use to make my sentence sound better but it is another case when it comes to Chinese article. I can tell my grammar error and which word I should use to make my sentence sound powerful. If they were truth, then how a study institution trained their students who wanted to work as an interpreter in the future?.

The grammar in your post is really good. You’ve spoken Chinese all day for about 20 years, at home, at school, at work, etc. You’ve studied English a few hours a day for a couple of years. Why would you expect your English “language sense” to be as good as your Chinese? By the way, that “critical period” stuff is just hypothesis — you cannot find two independent scientists who can agree on an exact number for the so-called “critical age”. So pat yourself on the back, keep studying, and expect steady progress over time. By the way, I've worked with Chinese people your age whose English is nearly flawless. And they had never left China. It just took a positive attitude and a lot of studying.
