Do you know superstitions in your country ?
For example , in my country say : " If you present your boyfriend or girlfriend a watch , he or she will leave you." Or " If you broke mirror, you will have bad luck for 7 years.

Hi Elena, in Chinese, numbers are important. The number 4 sounds very similar to the word for "death", and so it's not a number people are excited about. Some places in China will not have a 4th floor, or will take out the number 4 from all rooms, etc...
The number 8 sounds like the word for "rich" (more or less), and is considered a lucky number. Lots of people will try to incorporate this number everywhere (their phone number, license plate, the name of their store, etc...)

Hello Elena, I'm from the Philippines. One superstition we have is during birthday feasts there always have to be "pancit" (noodles) served because we believe that by doing so, it will give us longer life.
