How to make a connection? I want to study abroad to do my research in Sydney, Australia for a year. And to get a scholarship from Japanese government, I need to find a professor who can accept me by myself.

So I asked Japanese professors if they have connections with professors in Sydney. But after all I couldn't make any connections.

Does anyone know professors or stdents in Sydney?

Or do you have any ideas?

I have friends who contacted the universities directely by themselves. Analyze the options, send them a message, introduce yourself and the projects, papers published, etc. Don't expect to find a contact only through your professors.
