Become fluent in English
I'm new here, have a question to italki community: how many hours do I have to book for a tutor on average to get from b1 level to C1 level?

It took for me four years to reach the advanced level from the intermediate.

Probably you have better conditions for your studies than I had. But if you don't have enough free time don't be too much optimistic.

It depends on your skill to learn more or less quickly.  You have to work several contents : vocabulary, reading, listening, speaking, grammar...

Italki is one of the ways to improve his English.

Learn a new language must remain a pleasure, not a constraint.

Good afternoon!

This is a very broad question that needs to take things like your dedication levels, ambiguity tolerances, how much time you have, natural language absorption ability, and so on.

I went from A1 to B2 in German in a year without lessons - I was living in Germany at the time. I had no need to go any higher. On italki, I imagine -with dedication and effort- it would take about the same 12 months to achieve a language level of C1.

If you are interested, then please have a look at my profile and see if you think I may be of service in helping you achieve your aims.
