How and when do you use "pra" or "para" in Portuguese??????

Both have the same meaning.
"Para" (to/for) is the correct and formal form used in writing.
"Pra" is a very common abbreviation of that.

"pra" é tanto uma forma abreviada de escrever "para" como "para a".
"pro" é uma contração de "para o".
"pras" é uma contração de "para" + "as".
"pros" é uma contração de "para" + "os".
Isto é pra ti.
Temos brinquedos pros meninos e pras meninas.
Este tipo de abreviação só é praticamente usado em propaganda ou transcrição de diálogos.

The 2 words can be used, 'pra' is more common, sometimes you will hear the word 'para', but it may be the verb 'parar' ' to stop' in the most cases.
