This is a good translation. You can use "each" or "per X" at the end of a phrase. When the item itself is the measure, you use "each". When something else is the measure, you use "per".
The bananas cost $2 per pound (bananas are the item, pounds are the measure)
Movie tickets are $5 per person (tickets are the item, people are the measure)
The apples are $1 each (apple is both the item and the measure)
But be careful as you can use "Each X" at the start of a sentence:
Each apple is $1.
