Learning to speak Puerto Rican Spanish

Hi, I am new to italki and am interested in trying to get as much as possible out of this website.

I know some Spanish basics and want to really increase my understanding and speaking of Spanish. However, it's even more important to me that I learn how to understand Puerto Rican Spanish. Anyone understand Puerto Rican Spanish want to talk? I am willing to help with English if needed. I guess that would be a must since my Spanish is very basic.

Hi Donna. From what you say, I’d recommend the italki language partner search page. Go to the “Community” tab, “Find language partner”, or use the link below. You’ll be able to input all your search criteria.

As far as Wael, after a look at his profile (and over five years’ experience on this site) I can confidently guess that he does not speak your target language and that most likely he’s interested in killing two birds with one stone — scoring free English practice and talking to a blond lady. That’s just something you’ll find everywhere on the internet. Don’t be discouraged. Italki is really an excellent resource — just remember that you get out what you put in.
