Sal/saul/sol???
Hi! I'm translating a British dating show and it seems that women are called sal/saul/sol? Does anyone recognize this word?
Thanks very much for your time and effort!

The only thing I can think of is "soul mate" or "soul" soul = informally another word for a person. bt it usually refers to a person's human qualities. I can't help you any further without listening to the dating show.

Hi John,
Thanks for your comment. No, it's not about Sally or Susan. They say something like this:
Remarkably, Jermaine Pennant still is married to glamour model and allround saul/soul (???) Alice Goodwin.
Does it ring any bell now? I really hope so!

I think you may have misheard the shortened words for 'Sally' and 'Susan'
which are 'Sal' and 'Sue' or the contestant may have been 'Spanish' with a girls name 'Sol'
