I prefer to say "physical" distancing rather than social distancing...
In my book, that means no talking and no listening! 😮 no way!

I agree. Who came up with that term anyhow? We can be social all we want. Just maintain a physical distance. Coronaviruses can't be transmitted via the internet or telephone.

I guess "social distancing" might just be a synthesis of a longer expression like "keeping a (safe) distance in social activities". For example forcing restaurants to cut down on the number of tables.
