What word gives you pronunciation-grief in your own native language?
Привіт друзї!
Are there any words that you can't seem to say in your own language, even though you are a native speaker? I was watching our local news last week and the news anchor couldn't say "obstetrics". It seemed like that was her troubling word.
What about a word that you habitually spell incorrectly, and can never seem to know how to spell it -- ever? I am talking about words in your own native language that you seem to always struggle with, and your auto correct is constantly busy!
For me, it took me well in to my adult years to figure out how to say Australia. It always came out as "Australala". It's as if my tongue just constantly tripped over it. For spelling, even today I can never get a grasp at how to spell separate. I always type: "seperate". Gets me all the time!
It will be interesting to also read about languages other than English to find out what words everyone trips over, no matter what their mother tongue is.
